Students pay close attention to a presentation
by Vermont Congressman Bernie Sanders.

Seventy-five students from eleven schools gathered at the event, including students from two of the Upward Bound chapters who went to Washington DC last month. At the event we kicked off a campaign in conjunction with the National Labor Committee and other youth groups in New York state to confront the Disney Corporation's pullout from a garment factory in Bangladesh after workers, including Nasrin Akther who spoke at the CLEA conference at SIT this year, asked for improved working conditions.
