50 Years is Enough <> The US Network for Global Economic Justice Coalition: a coalition of over 200 grassroots, women, solidarity, faith-based, policy, social and economic justice, youth labor and development organizations. Working to transform the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

Amnesty International <> A worldwide campaigning movement that works to promote human rights.

Canadian Friends of Burma <> A Canadian national NGO that works for the cause of peace, human rights and democracy in Burma.

Children in the Fields Campaign addresses child labor in the agricultural industry in the United States. This site also contains information about the "Young American Workers' Bill of Rights."

Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador <> A grassroots organization supporting Salvadoran people's struggle for self-determination and social and economic justice. Offers a photo show too.

Free Burma Coalition <> Works with student activists at over 100 colleges, universities and high schools. An umbrella group of organizations around the world, U.S and Canada. Works for the freedom and democracy of Burma. Its mission is the build grassroots movements modeled after the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa.

Global Exchange <> A nonprofit research, education and action center dedicated to promoting people to people ties around the world. Its aim is to raise global awareness in the United States in building international partnerships around the world.

Human Rights Watch <> Provides news articles, publications, campaigns, current events and commentaries on human rights issues around the world.

International Labour Organization <>

Jobs with Justice <> A national campaign for workers rights. Works through coalitions of labor, community, religious and constituency organizations.

Maquiladora Solidarity Network <> A Canadian network promoting solidarity with groups in Mexico, Central America, and Asia organizing in maquiladora factories and export processing zones to improve conditions and win a living wage.

National Labor Committee <> A human rights advocacy group. The focus is on human and workers rights. Offers reports from around the world.

New American Dream <> A wonderful broad-based site for social action of all sorts for building a better and more sustainable world.

Rugmark and Foulball are programs promoting the labeling of Oriental rugs and soccer balls made without the use of child labor. To earn a label, manufacturers are visited by independent inspectors who make sure factory owners do not use child labor in the production of their rugs or soccer balls.

Sweatshop Watch <> A coalition of labor, community, civil rights, immigrant rights, women's, religious & student organizations, and individuals committed to eliminating sweatshop conditions in the global garment industry.

Wal-Mart Watch <> Offers breaking news and basic facts on Wal-Mart.

The Clean Clothes Connection an excellent all around site with information, resources, news, and actions you can take.

Co-op America's Marketplace Guide also an excellent all around site with information, resources, news, and actions you can take.

The Fair Trade Federation provides dozens of links to fair trade retailers, wholesalers, mail order and online catalogs, as well as producers.

Global Exchange's Store - has lots of great information about Fair Trade and other shopping resources.

Sweat X - Clothes with a Conscience is primarily a wholesale outlet but does offer some products online to consumers.

Sweatshop Watch is a good all around site focused primarily on information and actions you can take.

UNITE's Union-Made Program highlights union-made goods and related issues. Also contact 1-800-USA-UNION

Triangle Shirtwaist Fire <> This site presents information about the tragic fire in 1911 where 146 factory workers died, some as young as 15. This event brought sweatshop conditions and child labor to the public's attention.
